Things to Do With Kids in Miami
Yay, school is out! I want to get the kids out of the house, and out exploring our tropical wonderland. But how many times can I take them to the beach or the playground? I’d love to take them snorkeling, but my kids are too young, since most of the snorkel tours have a minimum age requirement of 8-12 years old. I also want them to learn where the water is calm, giving them the chance to learn how to comfortably use a mask and snorkel without being in big waves.
At Biscayne National Park Institute, we are now offering an All Ages, Introduction to Snorkeling at both our Coconut Grove location, and also our Homestead location at the Biscayne National Park Visitor Center. The Snorkel mask is included, and you can bring your own food and drinks. The boats we use for this trip are around 40 feet long and we anchor in a protected area that is calm and shallow, it is the perfect environment for learning to snorkel and learning about the incredible Marine Biology of our National Park.
Our Snorkeling for Beginners and Boca Chita from Coconut Grove tour that includes an Introduction to Snorkeling, are also perfect for adults who always wanted to learn to snorkel, but never got the chance to learn in a relaxed and comfortable environment. The best part of this tour is that once you feel comfortable snorkeling, you can then book our daily Snorkel Experience Tour and go explore the best snorkel sites in the Biscayne National Park!
